Ladies, Modern "Church" and their "holy spirit" by Olaogun Michael Sunkanmi

There is a great evil parading the 21st century church, daily gaining dominance with probably little or no caution. The evil is gradually turning the places of worship to a place of distraction and self "commercialization", not only to congregants but also to church leaders. The evil is/has gained legal backup and now very acceptable to the society. 

What is the Evil? 

The culture of dressing by some sisters/ladies to the fellowship of brethren. 

Story: Recently, I visited a church and in my usual way, I observed things as the service progressed. It was time for testimony and people came out to tell of what God has done for them. Along the line, attention got centred on a particular lady whose chest was almost totally opened and her cleavages well "advertised". With her style of dressing, was 100% sure she can't bend to pick anything on the ground. 

As she gave her testimony, in her words.... "I want to thank God for my life and for the salvation of my soul. Holy spirit did this and that..... " At that point, I became curious 🤔 and further asked myself what #salvation is all about.  

I asked:

Is salvation not about forsaking old ways?

Is the the work of Holy Spirit not about renewal of the mind? 

Is the renewal of mind not supposed to have reflection on our outward appearance? 

Does Holy Spirit not emphasize that our body belongs to him? 

In 1st Timothy 2:9, the Bible says; " In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel "

The Bible supports we appear good in modest apparel. Modesty is the culture of heaven and if truly we are of heaven, our manner of dressing should reflect so.

If truly our we have Holy Spirit in us and we acknowledge our body as His temple, shall our ladies continue to open their breasts and cleavages for public sights, even among congregants? 

Yes, we know the world is evolving, but we must not join the world to evolve into what will lead us to eternal destruction.

The church much wake up and give resistance to any scripturally unacceptable practice(s).

The church is meant to be a place of healing to the soul and not of corruption. 

Shall we continue to allow the world practice to gain free flow to the church? 

God forbid! 

Admonition: Dear sisters, if truly you have salvation in you, you will surely protect well that which is the temple of God which is your body. 

May God heal His church again. Amen!
